The organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and fostering a culture of excellence in their field.Job DescriptionResearch, evaluate, select, and manage ingredient and supplier relationshipsImplement supplier scorecards to monitor quality, lead times, and performanceConduct cost modeling, spend analysis, benchmarking, and market research to identify savings opportunitiesMonitor commodity trends and manage price volatilityIdentify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategiesTrack sourcing metrics, analyze performance, and recommend improvements to sourcing strategyOrder, receive, and track ingredients, supplies, and productsManage inventory of ingredients, shipping materials, and suppliesMaintain up-to-date master ingredient lists, including pricing, MOQs, lead times, and availabilityUpdate ingredient nutritional and costing data in internal information systemsCoordinate shipping of formulation samplesServe as a key client contact during sourcing, sample shipment, and project wrap-up phasesPrepare final project document deliverables and facilitate suppliers/vendors introductionsSupport the formulation team with administrative tasks, organization, and lab operationsParticipate in cleaning and maintenance of the R&D laboratoryMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantA successful Sourcing Specialist should have:Bachelor's degree in Food Science3+ years of sourcing or procurement experience within the Food & Beverage IndustryKnowledge of SQF, HACCP, FDA nutrition labeling (TTB a plus)Proven experience developing and executing sourcing strategies with a strong understanding of supplier markets and industry trendsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skillsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $85,000 USD.Comprehensive 401k plan to secure your financial future.Unlimited paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance.Performance-based bonus opportunities.ContactSarah JonesQuote job refJN-022###-####725
