Senior Java Developer - W2 Contract

Job Title: Senior Java Developer Location: New York, NY (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week) Duration: 4 Months (Potential Extension) Employment Type: W2 Contract Pay Rate: $80-90/hour W2 Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders Only Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications while mentoring junior developers. Required Qualifications 7+ years of professional Java development experience Strong experience with Java 8, 11, or 17+ Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA Strong experience building Microservices and RESTful APIs Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Strong SQL development and query optimization skills Experience with Git and Maven or Gradle Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Docker and Kubernetes experience Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Redis OAuth2, JWT, and SAML authentication Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) GraphQL and Serverless technologies Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise Java applications Build scalable Microservices using Java and Spring Boot Develop and integrate RESTful APIs Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD implementation Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and coding standards Why Join?
