PCB Hardware Engineer

PCB Hardware Engineer *Baltimore, MD | $110,000–$140,000 | Full-Time | On-Site* Are you a PCB Hardware Engineer who enjoys actually *designing, building, testing, and improving electronic hardware* rather than spending your entire day in meetings? We are working with a *well-established U.S. manufacturer* looking to add an experienced PCB Electrical Hardware Engineer to its Baltimore-area engineering team. This is a hands-on role where you'll have ownership of PCB and embedded hardware designs from *schematic capture and board layout through prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and production*. What You'll Be Doing * Design and develop printed circuit boards and embedded electronic hardware * Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts * Handle component placement, routing, layer management, and design optimization * Design with signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability in mind * Perform DRC, ERC, and design verification before boards are released for production * Build, test, debug, and troubleshoot prototypes and production hardware * Develop BOMs, fabrication drawings, assembly documentation, and test procedures * Work directly with PCB fabricators, suppliers, and manufacturing partners * Collaborate with other engineers throughout the product development process * Support firmware programming and hardware testing using Python when needed What We're Looking For * *5+ years of professional PCB / electronic hardware design experience* * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field * Hands-on experience with *schematic capture and PCB layout* * Experience with *Altium Designer, DipTrace, OrCAD, or similar EDA software* * Experience designing multi-layer PCBs * Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics * Experience taking PCB designs through prototyping, testing, debugging, and production * Understanding of PCB fabrication and electronic manufacturing processes Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, Python, EMI/EMC design, IPC standards, or industrial equipment is a plus.
