Role: Cloud Solution Architect – AdvancedLocation: New York and Alpharetta, GA Duration: Long term contract Work model: Day-one onsite; hybrid with 3 days onsite per week.Engagement: T&M consulting assignment. Individual start date and duration to be confirmed.Role overviewSupport the Lead Architect in defining, refining, and implementing the target cloud architecture. Design solution components, validate migration approaches, and produce architecture artifacts aligned with enterprise security and operational requirements.Experience8+ years in architecture, software engineering, or platform engineering; 5+ years designing and implementing AWS solutions.Required qualificationsExperience supporting large-scale application migration, modernization, or cloud transformation.Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, resiliency, automation, and operational readiness.Experience producing architecture diagrams, technical designs, and implementation roadmaps.AWS certifications preferred.Key responsibilitiesAssess application and infrastructure components and document current-state dependencies.Develop target solution designs and architecture artifacts supporting AWS migration.Validate migration patterns and implementation approaches with engineering teams.Design assigned platform and application integrations, including identity, network flows, data services, messaging, and observability.Resolve complex design challenges while ensuring compliance with security, resilience, and operational requirements.Support architecture reviews, risk assessments, design decisions, and governance evidence.Contribute to migration sequencing, test planning, cutover readiness, and stabilization.Expected deliverablesComponent designs, diagrams, dependency assessments, and implementation roadmaps.Validated migration approaches and documented design decisions.Review evidence and technical support for readiness and handover.Desired qualificationsExperience producing migration designs for regulated enterprise applications.Exposure to EKS, messaging, data-platform integration, enterprise CI/CD, and observability architectures.Experience documenting architecture decisions, non-functional requirements, HA/DR patterns, and implementation roadmaps.Preferred certificationsOne or more of the following certifications is desirable. Certifications are preferred, not mandatory, and do not replace demonstrated hands-on experience.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.AWS Certified Security – Specialty.AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, where network design is a major responsibility.
