The organization is dedicated to delivering better rides through safety, service, innovation, and robust community partnerships.Role Description The Dispatch Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Tucson, AZ, responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time transit services. This role supervises dispatch staff, monitors routes and schedules, and coordinates vehicle and operator assignments to meet service requirements and customer demand. The Dispatch Supervisor responds to service disruptions, incidents, and customer concerns, making real-time decisions to maintain service quality and safety. The position requires close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and customer service teams, as well as accurate documentation of activities, adherence to DOT regulations, and support of company policies and performance standards. The role also involves coaching and training dispatch personnel, contributing to process improvements, and promoting a culture of safety and excellent service.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coaching, scheduling, and performance monitoring.Candidates should possess dispatching expertise, including route monitoring, real-time problem-solving, and coordination of vehicles and operators.Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with staff, riders, and partner agencies.Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT regulations and relevant safety standards applicable to transit operations.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in transit or transportation operations, proficiency with dispatch software and GPS/AVL systems, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; post-secondary education or related certifications in transportation, logistics, or supervision are preferred.
