Director of Distribution
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Distribution. This role plays a critical part in leading both strategic transformation and operational execution across LeMans Corporation’s distribution network, ensuring high performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all facilities.This role will partner closely with the VP of Distribution centers to standardize Lean practices, optimize systems and automation, and strengthen team performance. The Director manages multi-million-dollar budgets driving enterprise-wide consistency, enhancing employee engagement, and delivering measurable improvements in safety, service, and cost management.What You’ll DoChampion servant leadership: coaches' managers into Lean advocates, creates clear career pathways, and champions emotional intelligenceDrive employee engagement through regular recognition, team huddles, and alignment with company values and goalsMentors' leaders to reduce turnover annuallyApply Lean methodologies - 6S, Gemba walks, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, standard work, and visual management Own and drive key operational KPIs including dock-to-stock cycle time, on-time shipping, order accuracy, productivity, and safety (TCIR)Conduct site assessments and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiencyPresent data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadershipLead WMS/WES system enhancements and automation initiatives (e.g., conveyors, AS/RS, digital tools)Partner with IT to implement scalable systems, ensure adoption, and support user trainingManage operating and capital budgets, including CAPEX planning and cost analysisOptimize labor and equipment utilization to balance service levels and cost controlEnsure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations while strengthening safety cultureOversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime and reduce riskWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field7–10 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operationsProven track record of leading Lean transformation initiatives across multiple sitesHands-on experience with WMS, WES, automation systems, and warehouse technologiesDeep expertise in Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and change leadershipStrong financial acumen with experience managing operating and capital budgetsDemonstrated ability to lead teams, coach leaders, and influence across all levels of the organizationStrong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of warehouse safety standards and regulatory compliance requirementsExperience with automation implementation and system integration highly preferredHigh emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and drive engagementAdditional DetailsTravel: Up to 50% required with the potential for international travelPhysical requirements include extended periods of sitting, computer use, and ability to communicate verbally and writtenDisclaimersNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.LeMans Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
