General Statement of DutiesThe Department of Social Services seeks a highly motivated, dependable professional with advanced communication and exceptional customer service skills to determine eligibility for Subsidized Childcare Assistance.Distinguishing FeaturesThe successful candidate will complete applications by interviewing Forsyth County residents and enter the information in the Statewide eligibility system NCFAST for the Childcare program.This position calls for the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and possibly telecommute.Minimum Education And ExperienceGraduation from high school or GED and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience, which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analyzing data, and/or performing mathematical or legal tasks.One year of experience in an income maintenance program may substitute for two of the three years of relevant experience.Higher education may be considered a substitute for all or part of the experience requirement.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate must be able to interpret complex rules and regulations and use good judgment to make appropriate eligibility decisions based on verifications received from Forsyth County residents.They must have exceptional organizational skills, the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, work quickly within deadlines, proficient knowledge of universal computer technology such as Microsoft Office and 365 and general office equipment, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.Prefer NCFAST experience and the ability to demonstrate Forsyth County We Care Principles:Integrity, Awareness, Accountability, Excellence, and RespectClick to view Full Time with Benefits information.Click to view Part Time with Benefits information.These links do not apply to positions that are Part Time, no benefits.01The following supplemental questions may be used as a scored evaluation of your knowledge, skills and experience.
