Job Description SunPlus is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Data Architect to work for the State of NJ in Trenton.Pay Rate: $120/hr 1099 or $108 W2 hourlyDuration: 12 months with extension likely40 hours per week, Monday - Friday Job # 744978This position is HYBRID, mostly remote but needs to report onsite for meetings - Candidates must be localIt typically takes the government 2-3 weeks to start interviewing EXCELLENT written and verbal communication.SCOPE OF WORKThe Enterprise Information Strategy is divided into several Tracks of work. The Sr Enterprise Data Architect will focus on:AWS Cloud Data Architecture.Building Data Architecture Frameworks,Data pipeline frameworks,Standards, and Data Modeling Activities for UI ModAll underlying systems, data owners, databases, and applications working together with the Sr Data Management Lead and the Office of the CIO in defining the Conceptual, Logical, Physical Analytical and canonical models. This work stream will focus on several systems in scope.The DA will analyze the data needs of the systems and databases and uses skills in coding to maintain secure databases.They then collect and organize the data obtained into structured data models.Additionally, using mathematical and statistical theory methods they present findings to management which are then used to improve various initiatives within the NJDOL systems.Will meet with business teams and determine the best methods to gather the information required.The Enterprise Data Architect Must:Research and properly evaluate resources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usabilityApply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questionedCompare and analyze provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and problemsDefine and utilize statistical methods to solve industry-specific problems and engineer data structures Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data.Reverse and forward engineer data models in Erwin or other Data Modeling ToolsCoordinate activities with the rest of the EDL team including developers and testersLead design reviews of data models and other relevant metadata to ensure consistency, quality, accuracy and integrityGuide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces, and system integration challenges and solutions.Optimize and update Conceptual, logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects and ensure business users are working in a clean safe data environment.REQUIRED SKILLS:Bachelor's DegreeData ArchitectureAWS Cloud ArchitectureOperational Data Modeling SkillsAnalytical Modeling SkillsCanonical ModelingInformation GovernanceMetadata ManagementData CatalogingData Engineering and ETLProficiency in MS OfficeExperience documenting in an explanatory and procedural style for multiple audiencesDESIRED SKILLS:Mainframe Technologies including Cobol, Db2, IMS DB/DC, VSAM, JCL and other middleware toolsKnowledge of working in Federal, State and Local GovernmentCompany DescriptionSunPlus Data Group is a company whose senior management has logged more than 60 man-years in managing Projects, Software engineering, production, and supply chain processes in Government, Aerospace / Aviation, Defense, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy, and Communications industries.
