Maintenance Supervisor – 1st and 3rd Shifts AvailableOpelika, AL$63K – $95KA growing food manufacturing facility in Opelika is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead either a 1st Shift or 3rd shift maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong mechanical knowledge and experience managing maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial operations.This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily maintenance operations and ensure timely completion of work ordersRespond quickly to production breakdowns while maintaining safety and productivity standardsSchedule and oversee preventive maintenance for production equipment and support systemsLead, coach, and develop a maintenance team of 10–20 employeesMonitor spare parts inventory and coordinate maintenance resources effectivelyPartner with production teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and company safety standardsReview blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation to support maintenance planningIdentify and troubleshoot equipment performance issues and implement corrective actionsAssist with maintenance projects, cost control initiatives, and continuous improvement effortsQualifications3–6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentAt least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical systemsExperience with preventive maintenance programs and production equipment troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagramsStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applicationsTechnical education or vocational training in engineering, electronics, or related field preferredWork EnvironmentManufacturing/production facility environmentAbility to lift 25+ lbs and perform physical maintenance duties as neededMust be comfortable working 3rd shift schedulesIf you're motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative finance team, we'd love to hear from you.
