Job Summary
The Infrastructure Governance Analyst supports and executes governance processes that ensure cloud and IT infrastructure operations align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role partners closely with IT, Engineering, Security, Operations, and business stakeholders to promote consistency, risk awareness, compliance, and operational excellence across the technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud and infrastructure governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure infrastructure provisioning and operational activities align with established governance guidelines and internal controls.
Participate in risk assessments and compliance reviews, including gathering and organizing audit evidence for internal and external assessments.
Monitor regulatory, policy, and control requirements impacting cloud and infrastructure environments.
Partner with IT, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to reinforce governance expectations and provide clarification on requirements.
Collect, analyze, and report on data related to infrastructure usage, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and security posture.
Maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms that track governance metrics and provide insights to leadership.
Support oversight of cloud service providers and vendors to ensure alignment with governance and compliance standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, documentation enhancement, and automation to strengthen governance effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT governance, cloud computing, infrastructure operations, compliance, risk management, or a related technology environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting governance, compliance, or risk-related activities within cloud or infrastructure environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and assess potential risks or gaps.
Proven experience working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Experience with governance and control frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO).
Experience supporting audit preparation or regulatory assessments.
Exposure to cloud financial governance or cost optimization practices.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
