Material HandlerPeak Workforce Solutions (Newbold Services) is hiring for immediate Material Handler positions for our client located in York, SC.Compensation:This position offers competitive starting pay $17.00 per hour (OT is available!)Job Description:Adhere to all inventory control procedures/guidelines.Review and adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper lifting, driving, handling and storage procedures.Adhering to all work instructions and inventory control responsibilities as needed.Must be able to maintain forklifts by performing maintenance check list responsibilities.Charge lifts and fuel gas operated trucks by following work instructions.Read orders and/or schedules to ensure proper material is being moved and/or deliveredUse computer to find and/or transact material in the systemEnsure identifying tags or labels are on all material being movedEnsure material is being store in proper storage locationsEnsure all material handling operations are done in a timely manner to ensure no loss of time and maximum efficiency at workstations.Remove all packaging before presenting to designated locationsAlways maintain excellent housekeepingThe Ideal Candidate Should:Be highly productive in a fast-paced environment.Have a great work ethic. Quality is a must.Be respectful and a strong team player.Be able to work independently, as needed.Be able to lift a minimum of 25-45lbs.Be able to work overtime as required.Job Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentMust have at least 6 months experienceAll new hires must take the WorkKeys assessments for the profiled Material Handler classification.
