General ID Clinician at UCSF The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine invites applications for the following faculty position: General ID Clinician: We are seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, who possesses extensive expertise in the management of general infectious diseases. During the first year or more, the faculty member, as part of this position, will likely need to attend on the hospital medicine inpatient services. We anticipate that the time needed to attend on the hospital medicine services will decrease over time, with the goal for all their work to be in general infectious diseases. The successful candidate will engage in patient care activities across both inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consult services (both teaching and non-teaching) at UCSF Health, as well as the UCSF Health General ID Clinic. Responsibilities will also include active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The position offers opportunities for engagement in a variety of creative activities, such as clinical research, leadership roles in clinical settings, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education development. Qualifications: • Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree from an LCME-accredited medical school. • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by ACGME. • Eligibility for medical licensure in California. • Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
