Human Resources Manager
Core responsibilities
Recruitment and hiring: Find, screen, interview, and hire candidates for open positions.
Onboarding and training: Orient new employees and develop and coordinate training programs.
Compensation and benefits: Manage payroll, compensation packages, and employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
Employee relations: Address employee concerns, handle conflict resolution, and enforce company policies.
Labor Relations: Ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreement and managing the relationship between the company and its unionized employees. Handling grievances and disputes and providing guidance to management on union-related issues and Michigan federal labor laws.
Compliance: Ensure the company follows all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Essential Skills
Communication: both verbal and written
Problem-Solving: Aptitude for resolving conflicts and addressing workplace issues
Organizational: Strong skills in managing multiple tasks, projects, and a large volume of information.
Data Skills: Proficiency in using HR metrics and data to make informed decisions. Experience with Paychex Flex.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field is required
Experience: Proven experience in an HR role, minimum of three years in human resources
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
