Senior Project Architect

The role supports working from multiple locations, including Boston, NY, DC, and Philadelphia.As a Senior Project Architect on the Perkins and Will team, you will:Provide technical leadership and documentation coordination including the development of design drawings, technical documentation, and leading project team assignmentsDirect production of schematic, design development and construction documents; make decisions and negotiate critical issues in collaboration with Project ManagerPerform construction administration duties (e.g., RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.)Execute applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.)Establish budgets, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Project ManagerMaintain contact with clients, consultants, and contractorsParticipate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clientsDirect, organize and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversightWork hard, play hard, and learn a lot along the way!Requirements To join us, you should have:A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline10+ years of experienceProficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferredExperience directing and coordinating work efforts of junior staffAdvanced experience in all phases and aspects of a project including reviewing construction documentationExperience with building codes, specifications, building, and engineering systemsUnderstanding of project management processEffective verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative and professional work ethicLEED AP or within 6 months of hireLicensure requiredQualified and interested candidates should submit a resume and work samples.
