Job DescriptionUnder designated supervision, a Roving Store Worker (Mixed) performs patron support and craft & trades duties that are not higher or equivalent to a HPP 2. May work in a retail or food facility. May prepare and serve simple foods and beverages, basic stocking or other craft & trades HPP 2 duties. May operate a cash register or other sales related equipment. Assesses customer needs by actively listening and providing solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty. Work may be assigned in more than one facility.May operate an oven, roller grill or other kitchen equipment in a situation where set procedures are followed and where cooking skills are not involved. Serves and prepares heat and eat items to include but not limited to pizza, hot dogs and snack items with related condiments or complimentary foods.Ensures heat and eat items are properly heated or cooled, as appropriate.Maintains required level of sanitation and cleanliness of work area.Maintains required documentation, checks returned inventory, prepares daily cash report, and other related documentation.May take merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor. Displays and replenishes merchandise in a neat and presentable fashion in accordance with instructions.May ring sales on cash register or other sales related equipment and makes change. Collects and verifies cash, credit cards/checks, etc. May enter new accounts, sales transactions, refunds and/or other related transactions.Assists in ensuring optimum stock availability by taking periodic stock counts, advising management of slow moving, out of stock, defective and damaged merchandise. Resolves customer complaints at the lowest level and informs management of barriers to meeting the optimal customer experience.May stock appropriate food or retail supplies prior to selling period and replenishes food, beverage or retail items, as required. May assist in maintaining retail shelf labels. Performs random price verification and initiates necessary corrective action.Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight. Keeps their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized customer experience.Performs other related duties as assigned. Please contact HR for details.Additional Qualifications/RequirementsThis is a Regular Part Time position with maximum hours of 34 hours weekly. Must have availability Saturday and Sunday between 12:00pm - 12:30am and Monday - Friday from 12:00pm - 1:00am. Schedules are subject to change based on operational needs.Job QualificationsEducation: High school or equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-month for 9-month basis.If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.Major DutiesOperates ovens, roller grills, or similar kitchen equipment in environments where set procedures are followed and no cooking skills are required.Heats, assembles, or otherwise prepares food items to support heat and eat and quick service restaurants (QSR). Ensures all condiments or complimentary foods are available during service times. May include stocking of grab-and-go or quick heat items. Maintains required sanitation and cleanliness of food preparation and service areas as well as all equipment utilized.Transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor and replenishes stock in a neat, presentable manner following instructions.Conducts periodic stock counts; reports out of stock, slow moving, defective or damaged merchandise to management. Performs random price verifications and initiates corrective actions as instructed.Stocks food, beverage, or retail supplies prior to service periods and replenishes items throughout the shift. Assists in maintaining accurate and up to date retail shelf labels.Maintains required documentation including returned inventory logs, daily cash reports, and other related records. Operates a cash register or other point of sale equipment; rings sales, makes change, and processes cash, credit card, and check transactions. May enter new accounts, process refunds, and perform other transactional functions as directed.Provides a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent, excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, actively listens to needs, and provides solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Builds trust and creates a welcoming environment to support a personalized customer experience.
