Tool and Die TechnicianOxnard, CA Immediately Temporary/ContractDescriptionCome create your career with VoltVolt is immediately hiring for Tool and Die Technician/Maker in Oxnard, CA.As a Tool and Die Technician/MakerThe Tool & Die Technician / Maker is responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing. This role requires strong machining skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to work within tight tolerances to support production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to determine tooling requirementsMeasure, mark, and prepare metal stock for machining and fabricationSet up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipmentMachine, assemble, and fit components to create tools, dies, and fixturesInspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure specifications are metPerform adjustments, repairs, and preventative maintenance on tools and diesConduct surface finishing and grinding to achieve required tolerances and finishesInstall and align tooling, fixtures, and components using hand and power toolsEvaluate tooling performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and qualityCollaborate with Engineering and Production teams to support manufacturing processes.This is a full-time opportunitySchedule: 1st Shift | MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PMPay range is $33-40 based on skillQualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification preferred (or equivalent experience)35+ years of tool and die, machining, or related manufacturing experienceStrong understanding of machining processes and tooling designAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience working with tight tolerances and precision measurementsSkills & CompetenciesProficiency with manual and CNC machining equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilityExperience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)Attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a team*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
