Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Architect Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. As an Systems Architect Engineer the candidate will develop system architectures, and define key capabilities and performance requirements. The individual will define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications, develop thorough definition of system external interfaces and define system implementation approach and operational concept. The candidate will ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance with customer. Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering methodologiesPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Perform Systems Requirements analysisFoundation in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture DevelopmentPrincipal Systems Architect Engineer : Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of related experience OR Master of science Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of related experience.Senior Principal Systems Architect Engineer: Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 8 years of related experience OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of related experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related experienceYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering, with experience using Model Based Systems EngineeringFoundation in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture DevelopmentApplied knowledge of aircraft designExperience with Cameo Magic Draw or another MBSE tool such as Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and Enterprise Architect.Experience with Agile workflowsKnowledge of configuration management of model-based architecture baselinesDemonstrated communication and technical writing skills.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
