About Us
Stella of New Hope supports the Ghost Light Inn, a boutique hotel connected to our property. We are upgrading our continental breakfast into a refined, European-style experience with consistent standards and clean daily execution.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Breakfast Cook - Lead to own day-to-day execution of the hotel breakfast program. This role requires real kitchen experience, strong organization, and the ability to execute a clean, guest-ready setup every morning. You will run setup, production, service support, breakdown, sanitation, and next-day readiness. Chef oversight ("Breakfast Captain") is present during breakfast service.
What You'll Do
Culinary Execution
Set up a clean, refined continental display that looks guest-ready at open.
Produce and execute simple hot support items including batchable eggs and breakfast meats (bacon/sausage style items).
Maintain quality, portioning, pace, and temperature control through service.
Operations & Standards
Own pars, backups, labeling, dating, and FIFO rotation.
Keep the station organized and predictable in a shared-kitchen environment.
Communicate shortages and 86 risks early and clearly to the chef team.
Cleanliness & Reset
Break down, clean, sanitize, and reset the station daily.
Leave the area set for the next morning (no drift, no surprises).
What We're Looking For
Kitchen experience is required.
Strong early-morning reliability and punctuality (non-negotiable).
Clean worker, organized thinker, steady pace.
Breakfast experience is a plus, but fundamentals matter more.
Food safety mindset (ServSafe is a plus).
Compensation
$20-$22/hour (DOE)
