Job Description The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a part time (16 hours per week) BC/BE Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join the growing Division of Ophthalmology at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York.The Elmhurst Hospital Center, Department of Ophthalmology invite applications for a faculty position in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Division. Applicants will be eligible for a faculty appointment and should have experience in resident education and exemplary patient care, with an emphasis on strabismus. Creative scholarship is also required. Candidates should be fellowship trained in a related discipline and board certified.We are seeking a pediatric ophthalmologist with expertise in caring for children and complex pediatric ophthalmology patients in the outpatient clinic setting as well as an interest in teaching. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement in the areas of general pediatric ophthalmology, quality & safety and medical education. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Candidates should be BC/BE in Pediatric Ophthalmology and possess a valid New York State license and DEA.
