Lead BIM Specialist

We embrace innovation, transparency, sustainability, and lifelong curiosity.What You'll DoServe as lead BIM specialist on high-visibility and complex projects, acting as the primary BIM authority for clients and external partners and supporting Regional BIM ManagersAdvise Project Managers on BIM scope, LOD, schedule, and fee implicationsCollaborate with Project Managers to develop work plans for addressing BIM related technical and coordination issuesLead BIM project deliverables in partnership with Project Managers and Project CoordinatorsProvide advanced technical mentorship to BIM Specialists and Digital Design TechniciansLead BIM 360/ ACC configuration and model exchange strategies for major projectsConduct rigorous QA/QC reviews of model's and documentation; produce markups and guidanceTrain project teams on QMP requirements and BIM execution best practicesContribute to the development and refinement of firmwide BIM standards and BIM Execution Plan frameworksRegularly share lessons learned and emerging best practices with the broader BIM community at PAELead or co-lead BIM/Revit kickoff meetings, mentoring other BIM staff in planning and facilitating these sessions while sharing best practices with internal and external teamsApply deep understanding of BIM LOD to support proposal development and contract deliverable definitionsSupport and lead internal BIM development tasks, pilots, and rollouts of new digital delivery tools to advance firmwide digital delivery capabilitiesPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringAssociate's degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred8+ years of AEC industry experience with 2+ years of BIM leadership in projectsExtensive knowledge of construction industry and engineering disciplines, especially MEP-rich projectsExtensive experience and expertise in using Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ ACC and related digital delivery toolsExpert proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Lists, Power Automate, Power BI, Stream, Planner, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote, to support automation, reporting, knowledge sharing, and firmwide BIM initiativesAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing and internal presentationAutodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Mechanical or Electrical Design preferredAutodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting preferredWillingness to travel to support key projects and coordination across officesWhat We Offer Hiring Base Salary Range: $86,400- $115,600 annualThis position is eligible for time and a half overtime payThe base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.
