ApplyJob TypeFull-time, Part-timeDescriptionPosition Summary:Provides direct and individual nursing care to assigned residents based on nursing standards and under the supervision of the Director of Resident Care (DRC). Also maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA.Essential Functions:Ensures quality and safe delivery of health services to residentsImplements plan of care formulated by physician and DRCProvides accurate and timely documentation of care givenAssesses and provides resident and family/care giver information pertinent to diagnosis or plan of careAdministers medication per physician orders. Documents properly on MAR. Observes for any adverse reaction and notifies physician accordinglyAssembles resident charts, resident records and checks that all necessary forms are complete and accuratePrepares incident/accident reports for residents as needed per policy. Notifies physician and family post incident/accident per policy and documents appropriatelyMaintains safe and healthy working environment and uses safe work methods and procedures in accordance with clinical standardsAssists resident in learning appropriate self-care activitiesOrganizes and monitors associates and material resources necessary for meeting the needs of the residents under his/her careRecognizes emergencies and life-threatening situations and initiates appropriate action(s)Maintains confidentiality and resident rights regarding all resident personal informationPerforms any other duties requested by supervisorThe ability to work in a safe and alert mannerThe ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of the residentsMust disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability to perform the job safely or competently.Non-Essential Functions:Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant leadershipEncourages teamwork and promotes company philosophyAttends required community meetings and participates Life Enrichment activities when ableCompletes all required courses in adherence with HRA UniversityIs prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basisBecomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalentAll associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residentsRequirementsQualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:Graduated from an accredited program for LPN/LVN and is currently registered in the state of the communityMust obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the state of the communityTraining in Alzheimer and Dementia with focus on Validation TherapyMinimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a health care facility.Experience in a long term care community and/or geriatric nursing facility preferredExperience in emergency care and first-aidAble to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contactsExperience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferredAble to make independent decisionsAble to seek out new methods and willing to incorporate them into existing practices when applicableMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensBackground Screening RequirementIn all Florida Communities, this position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
