Records Keeping Specialist
This position provides support staff and clinical staff assistance with reception, records keeping, and special project charting and reporting. This position works with clients, staff and other agencies to inquire and follow up on required information or data until all options have been exhausted. This position will complete filing; initial chart organization, and follow up on requested chart information.
Qualifications
Must have a High School diploma, communication and organizational skills, and competent decision making abilities.
A working knowledge of secretarial duties and must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Must be reliable, personable and demonstrate a caring attitude toward self and others.
Duties
Responsible for all assigned reception coverage and temporary fill in coverage.
Data Entry
Full working knowledge YHS data base and excel spreadsheets
Completes all records filing and scanning.
Codes Clients Demographics correctly for reference between multiple systems
Works closely with the Behavioral Health Leadership team to provide quality assurance related to YHS policies (Data sets, requests for information, etc.)
Preparing medical abstracts for release and maintaining detailed records of such abstracts
Communicates with appropriate staff concerning YHS client’s information
Other duties as assigned.
Salary
Pay: $10.50 - $12.50 per hour
