This position is also independently responsible to review and evaluate applications for all products offered and determine credit worthiness of applicant and ensure meets requirements of bank, government agencies and secondary market investors.Essential Responsibilities:Review and evaluate loan applications and all supporting documentationAnalyze and approve residential appraisals to ensure collateral meets program and investor guidelinesCommunicate with lenders and appropriate vendors to obtain information per requirements associated with loanProvide guidance to underwriters regarding procedures required to take action on problem loan applicationsAnalyze and clear loan conditionsComplete verbal on all loans - including contacting employersPrepare loans to proceed to closing tableParticipate in wiring procedureOther duties as assigned or directedMaintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely mannerAncillary Duties:Cooperate with other members of department to achieve department goalsCooperate with employees of other departments to provide quality service, solve problems and achieve bank goalsQualificationsEducation, Training and Requirements:Associates Degree or equivalent mortgage processing or legal office real estate closing experience requiredAll applicants must be 18 years of age or olderSkills:Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skillsAbility to analyze and interpret income, assets and creditAbility to work under pressure and work effectively under time constraintsGood written and verbal communication skillsResearch and problem solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMust be able to consistently demonstrate company's core values: integrity, excellence, teamwork, and humilityExperience:Two (2) years of mortgage experience is preferredTwo (2) years of mortgage experience is preferredOther Job InformationHours: 40hours/weekCompensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
