You will spend regular time in each home, supporting managers, ensuring compliance, and building rapport with staff and residents.Operational & Compliance LeadershipOversee 6–7 adult foster care (AFC) homes, ensuring safety, stability, and regulatory readiness.Ensure documentation, MAR/EMAR, personal care logs, and incident reports are accurate and timely.Complete routine audits, support licensing reviews, and address corrective action plans.Maintain strong standards for the "Five Diamonds" internal performance metrics.Team Development & StaffingSupervise Care Team Managers; ensure they feel supported, coached, and accountable.Strengthen staffing pipelines, orientation, training compliance, and daily operational routines.Foster a culture where team members feel comfortable coming to you to solve problems proactively.Resident Support & Program QualityEnsure individuals receive proper medical care, personal care, and skill-building opportunities.Work closely with homes serving individuals with high medical needs and those with IDD and mild behavioral histories.Build trust with residents through presence, consistency, and genuine compassion.Financial & Operational PerformanceMonitor census, budgets, staffing patterns, overtime, and EBITDA targets.Ensure Care Team Managers understand the financial drivers of their homes.Lead monthly staff meetings and maintain strong communication with regional leadership, HR, and compliance.What Makes Someone Successful HereThis position is ideal for someone who embodies:Accountability & follow-through — You do what you say you'll do and keep others on track.Calm, steady leadership — You bring stability, build trust, and stay composed under pressure.Field-first mindset — You show up in the homes regularly; you lead by example.Strong communication — Transparent, proactive communication with managers and leadership is essential.Operational know-how — You understand the day-to-day work in residential care and can support managers in the details.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a human services–related field preferredAt least 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a residential or healthcare environmentFamiliarity with AFC licensing or residential care regulations strongly preferredStrong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel between assigned homesComfortable working in environments that may include high medical acuity or mild behavioral challengesWork EnvironmentFull-time, field-based role with regular travel between residential homesRequires an active presence in homes (not remote or office-based)Requires ability to perform inspections, support staff, assist with training, and occasionally participate in direct-care tasksCompensation$65,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
