Purpose of the jobContinuously improve customer satisfaction. Develop quality standards, investigate non-conforming products and materials, ensure containment, determine root cause, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Audit procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance. Partner with internal operations team members and key suppliers to implement error proofing and other process controls.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop Supplier Quality Guidelines to identify capable suppliers, control change requirements, and respond to nonconforming materialsDevelop risk-based control plans using historical data and FMEA to ensure quality specifications deliver customer satisfaction efficientlyEstablish effective quality metrics to ensure process control and timely reaction to changes in capabilityDevelop inspection and test methods to ensure the quality of incoming materials; and equipment and capabilityEstablish effective quality control methods including poke yoke and SPCInvestigate quality concerns, ensure containment, determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actionsDevelop a deep understanding of relevant codes, product specifications, and manufacturing processesMaintain reference materials and control essential Quality Management System documentsProvide cross-functional leadership to achieve specific breakthrough improvement goalsWork cross functionally to develop procedures, work instructions, forms, and records in support of an effective Quality Management SystemEnsure revision control and convenient accessEssential QualificationsStructural Concepts is looking for entry level to senior Quality Engineers, and a job offer will be in line with the following expectations:Level IEducation: BS in Engineering, Statistics, Operations or closely related field.Experience 1 – 3 yearsProblem Solving SkillsAuditing skillsSkilled in collecting and visualizing data using trend charts, histograms, Pareto charts, etc.Excellent phone and email communicator.Functional knowledge of MS desktop and ERP applications.Level IIExperience 3 – 7 yearsQuality Management -OR- equivalent experience and professional trainingSkilled in applying advanced Quality tools including, SPC, FMEA, Gauge R and R, Ishikawa diagrams, QFD, Regression, ANOVA, Cpk, etc.Skilled in APQP - identifying critical to quality (CTQ) variables and developing control plansLevel IIIExperience 7+ yearsSkilled in coaching and influencing othersDeep understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management SystemsSkilled in facilitation breakthrough process capability methods using six sigma and advanced statistical tools such as DOE
