Travel RN - ICU
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg ICU (Critical Care) night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.Job Details• Med Surg ICU in an acute care hospital setting, which serves as the only Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke and STEMI Center in the region,• Patient population includes medical, basic cardiac, and neuro cases,• 19-bed unit with an average patient ratio of 2-3:1,• Specialized procedures include post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Esmolol), BiPAP, Airvo use, and ventilated compressors,• EMR: Epic,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3x12),• 36 hours per week with weekend coverage as needed,• No on-call requirements,• Floating to Med Surg and Telemetry units is required,Job Requirements• Active MO RN license or current Missouri temporary work permit (compact license accepted); must be active at time of consideration with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider preferred; ACLS must be completed within 12 months if not current),• Minimum 2 years of critical care/ICU experience required,• Experience with post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips, BiPAP, Airvo, ventilated compressors, and the ability to recognize a deteriorating patient,• No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months,• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs are not accepted),Additional Information• Medical calculation testing may be required (preferred skillset),• Black scrubs are required; hoodies and non-professional scrub attire are not permitted,• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate,• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a minimum 1-year separation from the facility or transition to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required,• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment,
