CDL Class A Driver

Here at Kamps we recognize and reward hard working individuals that consistently exceed expectations Job Overview: Our Class-A drivers are the face of our company, delivering and retrieving trailers of pallets to and from our local customers. The local driving allows drivers to be home each night. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Delivering goods Perform inspections before and after a trip. Drivers must follow all CDL class A FMCSA regulation Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers Using a Tablet to electronically log information Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle Driving automatic and standard shift tractors Maintain a clean driving record Keep on his person valid driver’s license and current Medical Card Perform Pre and post trip equipment inspections Drive safely at appropriate speeds at all times Insure loads are secure for transport Inform management of safety concerns with equipment Fill out daily Trip sheets Maintain daily logs QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid CDL Class A License Must have or be able to obtain DOT physical Must be able to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing 2 years of experience driving tractor trailer Must be knowledgeable and able to follow all DOT regulations in regards to driving and operating a tractor trailer Must be able to physically perform all duties involved with driving a tractor trailer including; shutting doors, cranking dolly legs, strapping down product and performing a proper pre and post trip inspection.
