Facility/Security/Support Services Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).Shift hours: M-Th 8a-5p, F 8a-1pJob location address: 44000 W. Twelve Mile Rd., Suite 200, Novi, MI 48377Responsibilities Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.Additional Requirements Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.Certifications/Licensures Required: Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
