Preference will be given to candidates with strengths in areas thatsupport our Statistics and Data Science programs. This is the second of two tenuretrack positions available in our department. Candidates can apply for both.Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by theemployment start date. Since teaching, research and service make up the primaryresponsibilities of the position, a record of and potential for excellence in theseareas, including directing undergraduate and graduate student research, make up thebasis for ranking candidates.A complete application must contain:a cover letter,curriculum vita,teaching philosophy,current and projected research agenda, andat least three letters of recommendation, at least one addressing teaching.Questions regarding the position can be directed to Dr. Tom Kunkle, searchcommittee chair, at kunklet@charleston.edu.This is a nine-month appointment.
