They are building a platform that streamlines and automates complex visa and legal workflows for global talent and companies. Their platform sits at the intersection of legal ops, automation, and AI-bringing much-needed efficiency to a traditionally manual and fragmented process. What You Will DoBuild and scale full-stack systems across backend infrastructure and frontend applicationsDesign and implement robust APIs, data models, and system architectureOwn workflow orchestration systems and improve task/event-driven pipelinesDevelop and ship high-quality user-facing interfaces for customers and internal teamsWork directly with users (legal ops teams, customers) to understand problems and iterate quicklyImprove system performance, reliability, and scalability across the stackBuild automation and agentic workflows to streamline complex legal processesHandle backend complexities such as access controls, permissions, and data integrityContribute to architectural decisions and long-term system designOperate with high ownership in a fast-paced, product-driven environment Ideal Candidate Background5-9 years of experience as a full-stack engineer (backend-leaning)Strong experience building and shipping production systems end-to-endDeep expertise in TypeScript, React, and backend systems (Python/Node)Experience working at early-stage or high-growth startupsStrong understanding of API design, data modeling, and system architectureExperience working closely with product and users in small teamsProven ability to handle complex backend systems and workflows PreferredExperience building workflow orchestration or event-driven systemsFamiliarity with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django)Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databasesExposure to AI/LLM-powered systems or automation workflowsExperience in ops-heavy or process-driven products (legal, fintech, etc.)Strong product sense and ability to balance UX with technical constraints Compensation and BenefitsBase salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (up to $300K for exceptional candidates)Equity: 0.25% - 1%Visa sponsorship available (H1B transfers, TN; O-1 case-by-case)High ownership role with direct impact on product and architectureSmall, elite engineering team with strong product exposureOpportunity to work on meaningful, real-world problems Why Join This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth startup tackling one of the most broken systems in the global workforce-immigration.
