Nondestructive Testing Technician Job Description
Overview
Peak NDT Services is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant to support our NDT Level II Technicians and operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry or gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. The Assistant will help ensure smooth daily operations by providing logistical and technical support while adhering to all company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist NDT Level II Technicians with equipment setup, transport, and maintenance.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for job site operations.
Perform basic data entry and record-keeping tasks as directed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures at all times.
Help with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other site preparations.
Support general operational needs, such as transporting materials or assisting with minor tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role or industrial environment is a plus but not required.
Willingness to learn and grow within the NDT industry.
Skills
Experience with hand tools.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all testing procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting issues effectively.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with basic computer programs, including email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, nights, and long-hour shifts.
