This position will conduct complex level investigations using investigative and interviewing skills to interview business owners, citizens, and others. The Program Investigator III will draft detailed reports outlining compliance or non-compliance with medical cannabis laws and regulations. This position will also research and maintain current knowledge of general policy, procedures, regulations, and statutes to ensure accuracy when completing investigations.This position will report to an office in Frankfort, Kentucky and may require in-state travel, and overtime. The agency may authorize the selected candidate to telecommute. Excellent time management skills.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Conduct complex investigations to determine compliance with medical cannabis laws and regulations. Interprets laws, regulations and policies for the medical cannabis enforcement and compliance program. Draft detailed reports and recommendations based on investigations. Draft other written correspondence. Reviews reports for accuracy. Conduct research and study laws, statutes, policies, and procedures. Responds to inquiries from providers, patients, the public, and others. Provide guidance and training to branch staff as directed. May testify in administrative or judicial proceedings. Attend training. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
