Are you a professional sous chef with a passion for directing a high-volume scratch kitchen? Join our team!Responsibilities:Coach, manage, and evaluate the performance of back of house hourly team membersActively manage and participate in large volume food production in a fast-paced environment, and when necessary, operate in any food preparation station in the kitchenMaintain safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health department requirements, frequently inspecting kitchen to ensure staff complianceEstablish quality and food production controls to minimize food and supply wasteAdhere to company recipes to ensure quality of foods producedRegularly check and coordinate maintenance on equipmentCommunicate professionally and respectfully with all levels of individuals in the organizationDevelop new recipes and/or refine existing recipesFill in for Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, as neededParticipate in creating schedules for back of house staffProactively recognize and address safety concerns in the kitchen and dish washing areaAssist in coordinating and participating in the market's periodic inventory processAll other duties as assigned by senior leadershipOccasional local travel to pick up/deliver goodsMinimum Knowledge, Skills, Qualification, and Abilities:A minimum of 3+ years of high-volume food production and culinary management experienceCulinary degree preferredPositive, optimistic, enthusiastic, and self-confident attitudeOperates calmly and proactively in stressful and difficult situationsAbility to obtain Food Handler's certification and TABC certification.Strong analytical problem-solving skills and is resourcefulAbility to exercise good independent judgementAbility to respond calmly and make rational decisions to handle employee conflictsWell-organized, with proven ability to meet timelines and show results through initiativesSupport and emulate the work culture, policies, procedures, and standards set by ClientAbility to work quickly and efficientlyPay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per yearBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
