Graphics Production Technician

Graphics Production Technician We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Graphics Production Technician to support both print and paint operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality graphics through large-format printing, vinyl application, and hand-painted finishes on various materials.This is a versatile position requiring a mix of technical printing skills and hands-on artistic/mechanical ability.Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain large-format printers, plotters, and laminatorsPerform full print production process: file prep, printing, vinyl plotting, weeding, laminating, trimming, and finishingReview and adjust design files for optimal print quality (resizing, color correction, file conversion)Lay out and apply masks, stencils, or graphics for paint applicationMix and apply paints/inks using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other toolsPrepare and clean surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and vinylAssist with installation and application of graphics when neededPerform quality checks before and after production to ensure accuracy and craftsmanshipRead and interpret work orders/job tickets to determine project requirementsMaintain workflow updates and meet production deadlinesKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeManage materials and inventory as neededQualifications High school diploma or equivalent1+ year of experience in print production, painting, graphics, or related fieldExperience with large-format printers (Roland, HP Latex, Mutoh, etc.) preferredFamiliarity with design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flexi or similar) preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskComfortable working in a production environment with tight deadlinesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Skills (Nice to Have) Vinyl graphics or wrap installation experiencePainting or finishing experience in a production settingBasic graphic design knowledgeWork Environment Production/warehouse settingCombination of machine operation and hands-on finishing workRequires standing, bending, and occasional kneeling for extended periodsEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
