Job Description Hiring for a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Receptionist in Morristown, NJ. MUST be fully bilingual and be able to do medical translation in Spanish/EnglishMUST be flexible to float to other offices in Summit, New Brunswick, and Livingston. Will know floating schedule in advance. Pay: $24-26/hr (based on experience)Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM – 5PMRequirements: 1+ years of recent experience as Medical Receptionist / Medical Administrative AssistantHigh school diploma or equivalentBilingual: English, Spanish preferred but not requiredMust be able to commute between Morristown, Summit, New Brunswick, and Livingston officesResponsibilities:Welcome and greet patient, clients, visitors to the department in a manner that is helpful and friendlyDetermine purpose of visit and direct patients, clients, visitors to appropriate person or departmentAssist patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation including medical insuranceAnswer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette (heavy call volume)Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally, and electronically, as well as transfer calls as neededWhen scheduling appointments, carefully screen patients for new address, new patient visit, or update registration and inform patients of adequate information that must be presented at time of visitSchedule hospital admissions, tests, scans, and outside appointments for patientsCheck patients in/out for their office appointmentsFacilitate patient flow by notifying the provider of patients’ arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staffObtain external medical reports as required by medical professionalsMust exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patientsPractice confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with clinic policies and HIPAA requirementsMaintain patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organized and neatInform patients of any existing balances noted in computer and request patient be prepared for any payment due at time of visitCall patients daily to confirm upcoming appointmentsVerify method of payment for service (Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, private payee) and collect data and/or payment as appropriateCollect co-pays and paymentsFax, scan, and file documentsPrepare documents for mail-outOpen, stamp appropriately, and distribute incoming mailExercise problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints, refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as neededMaintain stock office suppliesPerforms other duties as needed#zip
