Administrative Assistant to the Director (2026-2027 SY)
JOB GOAL:To assist the Director of Safety and Security under his supervision in overseeing the day - to - day operations of the office, ensuring smooth functions by managing administrative tasks like scheduling, managing supplies, maintaining filing systems, coordinating communication, while striving to create a productive work environment for staff members.SALARY RANGE: $30,261 - $52,579 ANNUALLYFLSA: Non -ExemptReports to: Director of Safety and SecuritySalary Schedule: Schedule 804 Range 107Work Days/Work Hours: Monday - Friday (8 hours per day)TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month (240) contract, plus benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon experience.QUALIFICATIONS:Associate or bachelor degree from a college or university; or minimum of 6 years or relevant experienceAdvanced computer skills. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in standard office administrative programs such as MICROSOFT programs (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and data processing.Evidence of strong office organizational skills, time management and general officeEvidence of strong skills in meeting and dealing with the public in a manner that will promote a positive image of the Little Rock School District.Evidence of a strong commitment to equality inExperience with fund accounting, budget administration and all phases of general ledgerSubmit to a pre-employment background and drug screening.Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may arise.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares, enters and records department budgets andMust have extensive knowledge in the operations of TimeClock Plus and EfinanceAnswers a multi-line telephone systemAssist with the making of employee ID/Access Control BadgesProcess all payroll, to include overtime, for the department including outsideTracks, analyzes and provides advance warning of potential over- expenditures of budget fundsProcess all leave for departmentOrder equipment andAssist with making ID badges for employeesAssist mobile patrol dispatch on a dailyAssists with development, compilation and presentation of financial reports,Advise Director on budget matters with regard to account balances, forecasts and annual budget submission.Assists with annual auditSupervises Dispatch OperationPerforms other duties assigned by the Director of Safety & SecurityWork hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pmRequirements are representative of minimum levels of knbwledge, skills and/or abilities.
