About MD HyperbaricMD Hyperbaric is a growing network of medical clinics bringing physician-supervised hyperbaric oxygen therapy to markets across the Northeast. Our Tribeca location is focused on providing access to HBOT for various patient populations: individuals recovering from radiation-related tissue injuries, patients experiencing sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSHL), and more. We partner with leading private practices and health systems to ensure patients have access to evidence-based HBOT when they need it most.The RoleAs our on-site Nurse Practitioner, you will be the local clinical oversight for every HBOT session at the Tribeca location. You will evaluate patients, supervise chamber sessions, document clinical progress, and coordinate directly with referring physicians. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role — not a consulting or administrative position. You will work closely with the MD Hyperbaric Medical Directors and collaborating physicians, and will be the primary clinical presence in the facility.This role is ideal for an NP who wants clinical ownership, is interested in a specialized and growing field, and thrives in an environment where they are building relationships around a proven therapy.RequirementsWhat You'll DoConduct initial patient evaluations for HBOT appropriateness — including review of health history, vitals, and referring physician notesSupervise all HBOT sessions onsite; maintain physical presence in the facility throughout chamber operationDocument each session with a signed clinical progress noteProvide clinical documentation and supporting letters for insurance approvalCommunicate with referring radiation oncologists, ENTs, and PCPs on patient progressMonitor patients for HBOT-related adverse effects and respond appropriatelyMaintain and support listed safety protocolsParticipate in quality assurance and clinical protocol development as the program growsSupport collaborative referral relationships with local practicesRequired QualificationsActive New York State NP license in good standingBoard certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)Minimum 2 years of post-certification clinical practice; 3,600+ hours strongly preferred (NY full practice authority threshold)Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationCompletion of UHMS-approved Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine (40-hour course) prior to treating insured patients. We will support scheduling and costs if not yet completedNY State prescriptive authorityPreferred QualificationsClinical background in hyperbaric medicine, oncology, wound care, ENT, or critical careACHRN (Advanced Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse) certification or active pursuitPrior experience working with commercial insurance prior authorization processesFamiliarity with hyperbaric medicine principles, chamber operation, or HBOT clinical protocolsExperience working with radiation oncology or head and neck cancer patient populationsBenefitsSalary Range: $140,000 – $180,000 annually, commensurate with experienceSchedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday, standard daytime hours during session schedulingTraining Support: UHMS hyperbaric medicine course enrollment supported — scheduling and costs covered by MD Hyperbaric for candidates not yet certifiedCME Support: Annual continuing medical education allowance for hyperbaric medicineBenefits: Health, dental, and vision; details provided during the interview processWork Setting: This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Tribeca, NY clinic.
