We hope so.The Multi-Outlet Food & Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to all guests, developing and maintaining a strong team environment. Responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage management team with the day-to-day operations for all Food and Beverage outlets in the hotel and/or Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater.Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor, Multi-OutletLocation: Fort Myers, FLReports to: Director of Restaurants, Outlet Assistant General Manager(s)Status: Non-ExemptEssential FunctionsResponsible for daily function of the hotel operations to include Dean Street Coffee & Retail, Lobby Bar, Silver King, Ella Mae’s Diner, Workshop, Beacon Social Drinkery, Chips Sports Pub, Oxbow Bar & Grill, Caloosa Sound Convention Center/ Amphitheatre, and any other food and beverage special events as directed by the outlet General Manager or Director of F&BEnsure that scheduled functions are complete and are set up accuratelyAssist in maintaining a motivated, interactive positive teamAssist with onboarding and training staffMaintain professionalism with team members, managers and guests. Open and close shift in accordance with the manager’s checklistGreet guests, initiate conversations with guests and solicit feedback from guests. Handle daily scheduling of team members and adjust when necessaryImplement proper tools for running shifts: e.g. Schedules, floor plans, reservations, etc. Solve team member issues such as call outs or any other daily issue that should arise with team membersFind solutions to guest issues such as last-minute changes in reservations, cancellations, etc. Stay on the floor the entire meal periodMonitor hours and watch the flow of business and make cuts appropriately as to not negatively affect the service levels. Ensure daily side work has been completed prior to staff leavingEnsure team is in proper uniform/approved attireAttempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' drinking by following TIPS practicesEnsure team members are aware of all applicable laws regarding alcoholic beveragesMonitor and maintain tablesRotate stations fairlyDemonstrate positive communication with teamMaintain fair and consistent coaching and counselingAttend meetings as necessaryCommunicate and maintain positive inter-departmental relationsCheck identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholCommunicate with managers and next shift any issuesPerform other duties as management requests to service our guestsQualification StandardsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or higherPrevious Hospitality Food & Beverage experience requiredExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads Experience with Micros POS preferred or similar software preferredExperience with OpenTable restaurant management software or similar reservation management software preferredExperience with Microsoft Suite of products, with emphasis on Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel, or similar softwarePhysical DemandsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate clearlyCorrected vision to normal rangeAbility to work long hours as neededMental DemandsMake sound judgments quicklyWork on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlinesAble to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to othersManage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the communityMaintain the highest degree of confidentialityAbility to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situationsAbility to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryNOTICE: The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
