Take the next step in your career and join a winning team!Position SummaryThe Warehouse Worker will perform a combination of tasks to load, unload, and move material and parts in and around the manufacturing facility. You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory.Essential Functions Of The JobFills work orders, requests for materials or other stock items distributing items to production workersUtilizes forklift or manually unloads materials to/from pallets, racks, and shelves delivered to the BUReceives materials into the inventory management system, placing at the proper location within the production systemAssists with maintaining inventory accuracy and monthly cycle counts by conducting weekly audits of the MRD systemWorks on projects to continuously improve visual re-order points for MRD materialsUpdates the expedite communications boards throughout the day as business is conductedResponsible for working closely with production staff to ensure non-conforming materials are identified and are accurately processed in a timely mannerKnowledge, Skills And, Abilities (KSA's)Excellent customer service skills with production operationsProficient with computers demonstrating your ability to work efficiently in the business system; EXCEL skills preferredWorking in a collaborative environment while communicating effectively with supervisors and fellow employeesAble to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)Able to work overtime and/or including weekends, as production schedules dictateEducation And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDLicensed forklift operator or able to become licensedKnowledge of Lean Principles preferredKnowledge of "point of use" inventory, the use of "pull" systems, and NPD processes a plusWorking ConditionsAble to perform work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environmentMust be able to work in an environment with noise (using 25 decibel earplugs) at 75 decibelsMust be able to be on your feet, on concrete, for 90% of shift and walk up to 75% of the timeMust be able to climb 13ft by way of 12-inch rung laddersMust be able to lift, push and or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight 5ftMust be able to bend, stoop and crouchRelocation not available for this positionEOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled | Drug-Free WorkplaceWe are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
