Central Packaging Facility & Grounds Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing department operations including general grounds keeping and cotton bale yards. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively direct employees, address performance issues, and maintain a safe, productive, and respectful work environment. Essential Functions/Duties: Direct employees while also performing the work of supervised employees and helping employees in all areas of their job assignments. Maintain positive working relationships with employees through clear communication, approachability, and respectful interaction. Inspect machinery, air compressors, and bale seals for issues. Follows company safety policies and procedures while also communicating safety policies and procedures to employees to ensure compliance. Will also assist in providing PPE to employees. Identify and report hazards within work areas to avoid incidents. Address employee performance and issuing disciplinary action as needed. Manage all timekeeping for employees as needed. Other duties as assigned. Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish speaking ability is helpful. Strong interpersonal and people skills with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and work with a diverse workforce. Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with employees and management. Demonstrated ability to handle employee issues and difficult conversations calmly and objectively. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also providing leadership and direction. Desire and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment. Observant, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability to remain professional under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
