This role ensures the production of high-quality products at optimal cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, start, and operate production machinery in compliance with safety procedures and ISO standardsWeigh and measure raw materials according to batch/recipe specificationsLoad ingredients and pre-blended materials into equipmentMonitor production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operationTroubleshoot equipment and process issues as they ariseOperate equipment used for mixing, extruding, discharging, and material handlingInspect materials visually and physically to ensure quality standards are metCollect samples for laboratory testing and assist with batch adjustments as neededEscalate production issues to the Production Lead or SupervisorPerform routine cleaning and maintenance of machineryAccurately complete system entries and production documentation (logs, reports, etc.)Maintain data integrity across all systemsParticipate in training, retraining, and continuous improvement initiativesFollow all safety rules, regulations, and housekeeping standardsPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredExperience (Preferred)At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:Plastics manufacturingColorant productionMixing, blending, or extrusion processesIndustrial or mechanical manufacturing operationsProblem-solving in a production environmentSkills & CompetenciesManual dexterity and ability to handle materials and equipmentStrong quantitative and basic math skillsReading comprehension and ability to follow detailed instructionsBasic to intermediate computer skills, including:Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Internet-based systemsProblem-solving and troubleshooting abilityConflict resolution and teamwork skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyPhysical & Environmental RequirementsRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands for extended periodsFrequently lift up to 55 lbs; occasionally handle up to 250 lbs (with assistance as needed)Requires visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, and depth perceptionExposure to:Moving mechanical partsDust, fumes, airborne particles, and chemical agentsWet, humid, and varying outdoor conditionsNoise levels ranging from moderate to highPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) may include:Safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoesDust mask, respirator, or face shieldHearing protection, hard hat, chemical suit, apronWork EnvironmentManufacturing plant settingFrequent exposure to chemicals and industrial equipmentMust follow all plant safety guidelines and use required PPE at all timesReporting StructureReports to:Plant ManagerManufacturing ManagerProduction SupervisorShift Supervisor/LeadProduction LeadBenefitsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical (Minimum Essential Coverage)Dental and Vision401(k) PlanEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Equal Employment OpportunityNesco Resource is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
