Marketing Intern

IFA members uphold the highest industry standards and contribute to the growth and success of the franchising sector.Role DescriptionThe International Franchise Association (IFA) Marketing Team is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Marketing Intern to support digital content management, social media, competitive research, audience segmentation, trends and other special projects. This role is ideal for someone interested in hands-on experience with content organization, performance analytics, and emerging platforms, especially short-form video.Key Responsibilities:Content Organization & ManagementTag, categorize, and organize photo and video assets in the internal content libraryEnsure assets are properly labeled for easy search, retrieval, and campaign useAssist in maintaining consistency in metadata and file naming conventionsSupport content preparation, including organizing assets and formatting posts for publishingPull and organize event photos from PhotoShelter for use in email marketing and promotionsSocial Media Strategy & ExecutionConduct ongoing trend and content research, particularly for TikTok and other short-form video platformsCollaborate with the team to brainstorm and plan engaging short-form video contentSchedule social media posts using approved contentMonitor platform trends and recommend creative opportunitiesPerformance Tracking & ReportingTrack and analyze social media performance metrics across platforms (engagement, reach, impressions, etc.)Pull performance data and assist in building regular reports and dashboardsAssist with gathering and analyzing email marketing performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates)Identify insights and make recommendations to improve content effectivenessResearch & General Marketing SupportConduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience behaviorAssist with campaign planning and executionSupport content creation and scheduling as neededOther special projectsQualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsFamiliarity with social media platforms, especially TikTokBasic understanding of social media and email analytics tools (e.g., native platform insights, Google Analytics is a plus)Creative thinker with an interest in digital storytelling and content trendsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with content management systems or digital asset management toolsFamiliarity with platforms such as PhotoShelter and Adobe Creative CloudBasic video editing or graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)Experience managing or contributing to social media accountsWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience in digital marketing and content strategyExposure to real-world campaign planning and analyticsOpportunity to contribute to a growing and dynamic marketing teamKey Facts:This is a part-time hybrid role located in Washington, DC, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion.Duration: 10 to12 weeksPay: $20.00 an hourHours Per Week: 30To apply, please email your cover letter and resume to careers@franchise.org
