We do our work with great gratitude for the community donations, purchases, and partnerships that make our mission possible.Right now our Tacoma Warehouse is seeking a DOT Truck Driver - Class A or B - FTHourly Rate: $25.75 per hourPosition Summary: The DOT Truck Driver operates Class A air-braked equipped combination vehicles to and from Retail and Donation sites in a safe and efficient manner.  Class B vehicles also available.Salary: $25.75 per hourSchedule: This position works 4/10s (Four, 10-hour work days)Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The DOT Truck Driver responsibilities Includes the following and other duties as assigned:Drives diesel powered tractor with 27’ or 53’ trailer between distribution center, retail stores and donation centers. Backs up trailer to loading dock. Places stairs against the back of the trailer to load items into trailer. May place chains on tires in snowy weather. No touch freight Class B, transport compactors and dumpsters to landfill or transfer station Daily Vehicle InspectionComplete daily pre/post trip inspections and maintenance checks; ensures that all aspects of vehicle operation and material handling are done according to proper safety procedures. Responsible for vehicle’s equipment and for reporting repair needs.Follows Safety ProceduresAdheres to all Goodwill and FMCSA safety regulations; reports all safety hazards, incidents, and accidents immediately.Customer SatisfactionBuild and maintain good rapport and relationships with customers and clients.
