JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Anesthesiologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Lewisburg, PA • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 06/08/2026 - Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 4 night shifts per week, 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM • On-Call Shift Schedule: No Call Required PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: All ages • Patient Volume/Census: Varies based on anesthetizing location • Case Mix: Vascular, OB/GYN, General Surgery, GI, Pediatrics, Plastics, Orthopedics, Robotics, and Urology FACILITY INFORMATION • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital • Hospital Bed Size: 135 beds • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia and surgical equipment • Support Staff Available: CRNAs with a 1:3 CRNA/room ratio • Reason for Coverage: Ongoing supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Available for candidates with a clean file • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days • Expedited Credentialing Available: Yes, for qualified candidates COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered if applicable REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Regional anesthesia blocks (nerve block anesthesia) • MAC anesthesia • Spinal anesthesia • Ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC Letter of Qualification • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology • Certifications: ACLS and PALS required • Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred • Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working night shifts and performing regional blocks for high-volume orthopedic cases DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties • Deliver patient-centered anesthesia care in a hospital setting • Perform regional and nerve block anesthesia procedures for orthopedic patients • Collaborate with CRNAs, surgeons, and operating room staff to ensure quality patient care • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
