For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.Job Summary:Performs routine repairs and maintenance to the building, requires a strong mechanical aptitude and associated building construction knowledge to perform most assigned tasks, and routine repairs.Primary Duties: General knowledge and proficiency required for repair and maintenance of surfaces in the facility in a safe and efficient manner, including patching, priming, painting, wall cover, Formica, floor covering cove base and ceiling tile. Operates, maintenance, repairs and cleans equipment and systems as necessary. This requires the ability to troubleshoot problems, access the equipment or system that needs repair, i.e., enter crawl spaces, enter ceiling spaces, enter air plenums, remove items such as plumbing, fixtures, motors, and pumps, some weighing in excess of 60 pounds. Determines the proper course of action and implements repairs. Performs other duties as assigned.
