Company DescriptionINTO's mission: Transforming international student academic and career success through exceptional university partnerships.PositionINTO OSU is opening expressions of interest for Student Services Assistant positions!We are seeking to establish a pool of students for part-time hourly positions that will arise throughout 2025. Successful expressions of interest will be kept on file and considered when vacancies arise that align with their experience.• Work 5-20 hours per week, generally during the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., with some evening and weekend hours for student events.• These positions do not qualify as work-study positions.Student Services AssistantAs a Student Services Assistant, you will provide exceptional support to international students and the faculty and staff at INTO OSU through customer service, event facilitation, and administrative tasks. You'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and building a sense of community for international students.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a first point of contact at the Welcome Desk, assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors with inquiries, referrals, and appointments.Manage email accounts, contribute to INTO OSU's social media presence, and assist with other correspondence.Assist in planning and delivering student engagement activities that foster a sense of community and connection.Provide arrivals and orientation support, including greeting new students, assisting with campus tours, and ensuring a positive transition to OSU.Perform administrative tasks such as filing, preparing documents, and managing student forms.Experience & Competencies • Current Oregon State University student.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.Flexible and adaptable, with a positive and outgoing demeanor.Commitment to providing excellent customer service and supporting student success.Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in computer and electronic communication tools.Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to drive vehicles for events or trips.Preferred QualificationsExperience in student leadership or programming.Conversational language skills in Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, or other languages.About INTO Oregon State University (INTO OSU)INTO OSU is a dynamic partnership between Oregon State University and INTO University Partnerships, focused on advancing OSU's internationalization goals.
