Poll Watcher
*Job Summary*
As a Poll Watcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and transparent elections by monitoring polling places to uphold election integrity located in Charleston County, South Carolina, for the early voting periods between October 21–26, October 28–November 2, and the November 5, 2024, General Election.
*Responsibilities*
- Monitor polling places to observe and report any irregularities or violations of election laws
- Communicate effectively with election officials (i.e. clerk or manager) if challenging voter identification
- Document observations accurately and in a timely manner
*Requirements*
- Valid government issued ID (i.e. driver's license, passport, or other form) and at least 18 years old
- Must be a registered voter in the county
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
*Additional*
Letter from candidate assigning poll watcher will be issued per state law requirements upon approval of poll watcher
Precinct address will be assigned
