Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and running day-to-day operations of Urban Ministry (UM). The Operations Manager coordinates systems, ensures good stewardship of UM’s resources, and works to build a team culture that reflects UM’s values of compassion (hospitality) and wholeness (transformation). WE Care (25%—10hrs per week) Supervise front desk workers Primary liaison to Beeson Senior Services Oversee WE Care program Write WE Care checks Team Support and Culture-Building (20%—8hrs per week) Model, teach, and develop a culture of hospitality Create team-building opportunities to instill UM values in staff Communicate staff meetings and lead team building Work with program directors to ensure the execution of UM’s mission Report to and communicate regularly with the Executive Director Human Resources (15%—6hrs per week) Oversee recruiting and hiring new staff Assist program directors and Executive Director with personnel issues Manage health benefits and retirement plan for all Urban Ministry employees Process Payroll, manage PTO, and oversee Paychex Maintain employee personnel records Onboard and offboard Urban Ministry employees Serve as the formal landlord for WE Work Apprentices after graduation through the homeownership process Financials (15%—6hrs per week) Oversee money and transactions in three primary bank accounts Write checks, make payments, oversee autopay and positive pay for Urban Ministry expenses Collect receipts and gather information for Bookkeeper and make deposits when necessary Correspond with the Urban Ministry Bookkeeper and Finance Team Keep detailed records of both income and expense transactions Collect and track rent from tenants Facilities (15%—6hrs per week) Responsible for managing office and building operations including Ordering and managing supply inventory (printer toner, paper, office supplies etc.) Managing phone, internet, and security services Contacting equipment for maintenance Overseeing the Urban Google Workspace and e-mail system Supervise janitor and/or facilities manager Order cleaning supplies Manage building keys and keycards Administration (10%—4hrs per week) Run all facets of the main office and ensure that someone is present at front desk during hours of operation Ensure Urban Ministry is up-to-date on business license and any other state or federal regulations Oversee Urban Ministry facilities including cleaning and maintenance staff Schedule vehicle maintenance and oversee titles, tags, and insurance Handle all facets of the organization’s mail processes including retrieving main from the post office box, paying post office fees, and handling the logistics of mailings (including Christmas break) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Parental leave Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
