Job Description
Temporary to Direct Hire, Cost Estimator opportunity available in Stratford, CT.Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related expenses.Prepare and monitor project budgets to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with project goals.Perform financial analysis to assess project profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and forecast future expenses.Generate regular financial reports, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and budget updates.Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project financial stability.Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure cost control.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure financial alignment with project objectives.Implement effective cost control measures to minimize project expenditures and optimize resource utilization.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.Qualifications:A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction cost engineering or a related role is essential. ***Experience with large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.Proficiency in construction cost estimation software, financial analysis tools, and project management software.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial calculations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey financial information.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Knowledge of construction processes, cost management principles, and industry standards.Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with project teams, clients, and vendors.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
