Facility Engineer

Immediate opening for a two-to-five-year experienced Facilities Management Engineer for Government Facility located in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. Environmental Consulting firm is seeking an engineer with facilities management experience in planning and facilities projects, such as interior or exterior building renovations, building repairs (e.g., roof or HVAC replacement), and modification or repair to utilities and infrastructure. Applicant must be able to be on-site at a federal site as needed in on a regular daily/weekly basis. Salary compensation range is $75,000 to $90,000. Specific duties include: Track schedule and status of ongoing projects.Support project planning and proposal efforts.Perform design reviews for facility improvement projects.Review construction plans for compliance with Performance Work StatementsConduct site visits to document existing conditions, develop new project requirements, and create preliminary project scopes and cost estimates.Coordinate with key stakeholders by preparing for and participating in meetings.Create project execution packages by preparing project and budgeting data, tracking ongoing projects with updated cost estimates, project schedules and risk/assumption matrices.Gather and review all existing information, such as as-built drawings, previous studies, and inspection reports.Assist with congressional data calls, project risk/assumption matrix, and new project intake, validation and scope developmentProvide program support and data analysis to the Sustainment Management System (SMS) Builder Program to facilitate when, where and how to best maintain building infrastructure.Perform periodic data analysis on DoD sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) budgeting.Assist The successful candidate will be joining a growing team of engineering, facilities, and planning professionals that focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships. Ideal candidates will have:Strong organizational and project management skills. Good communication skills to participate in high-level meetings with government clients, coworkers and stakeholders.Experience with construction plans, as-built drawings, and specifications. Technical knowledge in at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.Good written skills to prepare summary reports, presentations, and informational materials.
